Deno's Sweet Shoppe, located at the entrance to Deno's Wonder Wheel Amusement Park in front of the Wonder Wheel, is the original stand that Deno Vourderis had at Coney Island since the 1950s. When the New York Aquarium was built at 8th Street, Deno needed to relocate his stand. The owner of the children's amusement park down the boardwalk knew Deno and let him set up his cart at the amusement park. Deno eventually came to own the children's amusement park and later the Wonder Wheel as well. This is where it all started. Grab a funnel cake, candy apple, popcorn or cotton candy!
